#2 - Ethnic Bakeries by Location
in the U.S.A.
Throughout the U. S. bakeries have been created based on recipes related to a specific ethnicity, culture, country-ancestry, etc. The breads are tied to the flavors and recipes from "back home."
If you have comments or such for me, please send an email to: breadmuseum@aol.com Donna Kozak, Founder
Wherever you live, or are traveling, in a state or country, and want to take personal photos of an ethnic bakery & its ethnic items (see my NE, NM, TX below, right column), or a festival (see Georgia below, left) to send to me to post on this page, send me an email.
#1 - Ask the Owner/Manager & get permission that it's o.k. to photo (especially inside the shop) & to put your photos on a website online. You can tell them "NationalBreadMuseum.org".
#2 - Ask for their phone # in the U.S. or email&website out of country so I might contact for permission verification.
#3 - Photos generally of store front, signage, & displayed items. I do not like to include people (possible privacy reasons).
BREADS by COUNTRY Name
GREECE - a website article
https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/greek-embroidered-bread
BreadCulture.net is the European "hub" website for all things "bread!" It's the location of the Atlas - Bread Museums in Europe & Beyond. If you will open up each tab and read all the info with each link, you will have an expanded, world-view idea of what bread, bread culture, bread heritage, and everything else "bread" means and relates to from the beginning of man till your next bite of "bread" or anything made with a grain/cereal. It is truly mind-boggling.
Dimitrije Vujadinović is the founder of the Bread Cultural Heritage project (c. 1998), and is also a founder, associate, &/or member of various European Cultural Networks affiliated with Institutes of Gastronomy, Culture, Art, Tourism, etc., throughout the European continent! His is also the author or editor of dozens of historical & academic papers and books, with "bread" being a historical and uniting force among the people throughout all of Europe and beyond.
