This is both a corer (takes out the center core with the seeds) & a slicer/cutter. The apple can be peeled or unpeeled.

BEAN
In German, Bohnenschneider is translated as bean cutter, but the outcome is what's known to Americans as sliced French-style string beans - slicing 2 beans at a time. Some reference books call this & similar cast iron or other various metal styles, a bean slicer. (Click to enlarge.)
